</p><p>On page 558 of Deadhouse Gates, Captain Lull presented his troops with brand new uniforms, all of which had an iron sigil. "The medallion was perhaps four inches in diameter, a circlet of chain affixed to a replica Wickan dog-collar , and in the center was a cattle dogs head - not snarling, simply stating outward with hooded eyes...
</p><p>I was wondering if anyone on this forum had made a piece of art for this? I've seen many fan pieces and was wondering if this was one of them. Not only do I myself have a cattle dog (red heeler) but am also in the military so this would be an awesome unit patch it seems!! Thanks to any help!!

<p>Hi Cambonious! Well, I certainly haven't heard of anything like that - either on this wiki or on https://www.reddit.com/r/Malazan/ - I think, however, that you might have better luck if you ask this same question of the reddit crew (use the link above if you need their URL). The people who read/post on that site are more apt to know of anything like what you describe. It's also more down their alley, as this wiki is more involved with material about the SE and ICE books/artwork/maps themselves rather than with association items. Give it a try...hope you find what you are looking for : )

<p>Hi Cambonious: Is that the size of the badge you're thinking of? Looks like a good choice if so. Looking at it, the design would also make for a good tattoo - either in b/w or with appropriate colors added. Not that I'm necessarily suggesting that...just a stray thought : )

<p>I was thinking of it in terms of a "military patch" size, so around 3"x3" approximately. It WOULD make for a good tattoo, although if I was to get a tattoo I would replace the head with my OWN cattle dog. He's a red heeler. I was talking to another person on the Reddit page who also has a heeler and felt like Erikson nailed the descriptions of the Wickan cattle dogs. Very similar to mine; without the, ya know, killing of enemies and whatnot! :)
