I was thinking of it in terms of a "military patch" size, so around 3"x3" approximately. It WOULD make for a good tattoo, although if I was to get a tattoo I would replace the head with my OWN cattle dog. He's a red heeler. I was talking to another person on the Reddit page who also has a heeler and felt like Erikson nailed the descriptions of the Wickan cattle dogs. Very similar to mine; without the, ya know, killing of enemies and whatnot! :)

Captain Lull Iron Wickan Cattle dog Sigil

Hello all, On page 558 of Deadhouse Gates, Captain Lull presented his troops with brand new uniforms, all of which had an iron sigil. "The medallion was perhaps four inches in diameter, a circlet of chain affixed to a replica Wickan dog-collar , and in the center was a cattle dogs head - not snarling, simply stating outward with hooded eyes... I was wondering if anyone on this forum had made a piece of art for this? I've seen many fan pieces and was wondering if this was one of them. Not only do I myself have a cattle dog (red heeler) but am also in the military so this would be an awesome unit patch it seems!! Thanks to any help!!
