Aman was a mysterious figure who lived in Darujhistan and sported a twisted back and malformed, bent hands. He had a knobbly, deformed skull, and a patchy pelt of filmy grey hair. He owned a shop on the street of pure-gatherers in the Gadrobi District which had all manner of magical and ancient wares, including a stone statue from Jacuruku.[1]

In Orb Sceptre Throne[]

Aman provided the scholar Ebbin with a set of otataral chisels in order to break into an unmarked vault hidden under the Dwelling Plain. During a conversation with Taya Radok, Aman revealed that he manipulated Ebbin into resurrecting the Tyrant of old, and that his shop was being watched by his one-time-allies, of which Vorcan was once a member.[2]

Aman, Hinter, and Taya were amongst the chief willing supplicants to the resurrected Tyrant. Hinter was surprised to see Aman alive, as he believed that he had perished, most likely during Vorcan's purge on the T'orrud Cabal.[3]

Aman along with Baruk, were the two mages who were instrumental in overseeing the re-creation of the ancient Orb of the Tyrants. The "Orb" was a huge, protective dome which - when formed - covered the entire Majesty Hill of Darujhistan.[4][5]

Aman was responsible for Tserig's death. He killed the old man by smashing his skull which snapped Tserig's neck.[6]

After the fall of the legate, Scorch and Leff ensconced a hunchbacked figure, presumably Aman, at the bottom of a well far out in the plains outside Darujhistan.[7] They likely did this at the behest of Kruppe.[8]
