Evessa was a Stormguard veteran serving on the Stormwall. She was from Jourilan although many suspected she was of the old blood.[1]

Wall Marshal Quint assigned Evessa and fellow Stormguard Stall to escort Lord Protector Hiam to the wall's base to meet with Master Engineer Stimins.[2]
Later Evessa and Stall were standing guard over a work gang repairing the wall's base when they noticed a large stranger approaching. They attempted to stop him for questioning when Greymane the Stonewielder drew his mystic sword and began making the ground wrench and heave. Greymane ordered them to leave for their own safety, and Evessa, Stall, and the work gang followed his advice.[3]
