Feral was a Tiste Andii assassin and mage attached to the 'Temple of Darkness' in Black Coral. She was described as a 'dour creature' by the High Priestess of Darkness.[1] She was a tall and slim figure with long black hair and skin as dark as midnight.[2][3] She had narrow and hard features with raptor-like eyes.[4]

Feral wore black leather armour[2] and gloves,[5] and she carried a long and narrow blade as well as throwing daggers with dark wood grips.[6] She thought nothing of killing helpless enemies, or even those who might become enemies in the future.[3]

In addition to her martial skills, she could draw on the Elder power of Kurald Galain in battle.[7]

In Toll the Hounds[]

Feral's name was brought up by the Temple Historian when the High Priestess of the Temple of Darkness admitted their people were at war on countless fronts. With Anomander Rake and Spinnock Durav away in Darujhistan, the Historian wanted to know if Feral would be summoned to service. The High Priestess indicated that Feral would not be useful as the situation in Black Coral--though it could not be graver--did not require the skills or talents of the assassin.[8] When the Dying God came to the city, Feral was not involved.

In Forge of the High Mage[]

Her Soletaken form was that of sinous winged Eleint that was as black as the Void itself. Few others could match the dragon's ferocity and might.[9] (Information needed)

Quote[]

Temple Historian: "Will you summon Feral, High Priestess?"
High Priestess: "That dour creature? No, let the assassin stay in her tower. Leave her to lurk or whatever it is she does to occupy her time."
