The Foolish Dog were a Wickan clan of eight hundred horsewarriors. Temul was originally of the Foolish Dog clan.[1]

After the Chain of Dogs crossed the Sekala, the Foolish Dog clan transformed themselves into a heavy cavalry unit and were instrumental in the next battle.
After the crossing of the Vathar, only five hundred able fighters remained. By the time the Chain of Dogs reached the gates of Aren, there were but a score left, amongst them Temul, who was sent with Duiker to guard the refugees to Aren. The Wickans who stayed with Coltaine perished alongside him.
