Galith was the captain and senior officer in command of The Pit, a Malazan prison and otataral mining camp for mages. He was a short, broad man with a blond beard who had served in that position for five years.[1]
In Return of the Crimson Guard[]
The Crimson Guardsmen Blues and Treat subdued Galith and his men when they liberated the Pit's prisoners. When the prisoner Ho learned that the prisoners had been maliciously disciplined for decades for work that was never intended to produce ore, he attempted to throw Galith from the prison's heights. Stopped by Blues, Ho instead struck the sneering Galith with a blow so strong it knocked him off his feet.[2]
