The God-thing from the sea was an enormous, scaled creature with an elongated reptilian head with articulating fangs and two powerful taloned hands.[1]
In The Lees of Laughter's End[]
The god-thing was an ancient, almost forgotten god that had been mistakenly summoned by Mizzankar Druble to help command his Sech'kellyn statues. When the god appeared, the mental contest was brief and the god-thing became the new master of the statues until they were lost and buried under Toll's City.[2] The rediscovered statues called out for their master from the strong room of the Suncurl, and the god-thing rescued them causing massive damage to the ship. Before it left it spit out Gust Hubb's ear.[3]
