Guth was a warrior of the Ifayle T'lan Imass.

During the 51st Jaghut War 6,031 years before Burn's Sleep, Guth was a member of an Imass band led by Shalt Li'gar. They discovered a settlement of mixed Jaghut-human stock on Assail. The Imass warrior J'arl immediately called the natives "abominations" and he and Guth advanced on them to slay them. J'arl was cut down by a despairing Shalt who chose to defend the settlers. Guth attacked Shalt in turn, but he fell to her blade.[1]
