The Hissar Guard were a Malazan military unit stationed in Hissar. Of Seven Cities blood, they were equipped with round shields and tulwars.[1] They had at least one mounted troop.
In Deadhouse Gates[]
Not all of the locals turned against the Malazans during the Whirlwind Uprising. A portion of the Hissar Guard continued to loyally serve Fist Coltaine during the Chain of Dogs. Coltaine held them in absolute trust, and they proved themselves over and over in combat as if only slaughter could wipe away the shame of their treacherous kin.[2]
