Iparth Erule was a Tiste Liosan. He was among the thirteen who drank of the dragon Kessobahn's life blood, thereby becoming a Soletaken Eleint.[1] In his Soletaken form he had golden scales and white wings.[2]

In only a short period of time, Iparth Erule and three of his sisters ceased to semble back into their Tiste Liosan forms, as their minds succumbed to the Siren call of the chaotic blood of the Eleint.[3] Aparal Forge, who had been Iparth's close friend before he was thus affected, believed that Iparth had then developed designs on the Throne of Darkness, seeking power solely for himself.[3] He was the first of the Tiste Liosan Soletaken to attempt the breach in Lightfall, but was easily beheaded by Yedan Derryg wielding a Hust sword.[2]
