Ogule Tolo Thermalamerkanerat was a mage who had come with Hesta to the ruins of Moon's Spawn looking for the Throne of Night. He was a short, round, bland-faced ball of a man, who wore dark layered robes with a broad front side. He was rather less violent than his companion Hesta.[1]

He followed the rest of the group that contained mages and the Malazan marines into the Throne-room that contained the Throne of Night, the doors being opened by Orchid's touch. Here, he and the other mages discovered a path into Kurald Galain that would take them away from the Spawn which was sinking rapidly. Hemper Grin, a mage of Darkness attacked Ogule and Hesta, fearing they would profane the throne.[2] The two managed to overcome Hemper, Ogule using some sort of arcane magic that made Hemper cough up blood, then made good their escape.[3]
When Antsy and his group, along with the Malazans and the Seguleh found themselves in Kurald Galain, there was no sign of any of the mages since all of them had 'scampered away'.[4]
