Magistrate Plengyllen was a member of the Ruling Council of Magistrates in Li Heng. He was described as a tall, bearded, old fellow wearing long, dark robes of some rich cloth.[1]
In Return of the Crimson Guard[]
Plengyllen was at the inner City Temple complex at the time Orlat Kepten and the Talian League attempted to seize it in a coup. When Storo Matash and his squad of saboteurs entered the temple to defend it, Plengyllen did not appear upset to learn of the assassination of the city's military governor Fist Rheena. Suddenly recognizing Matash's Malazan troops he screamed for the temple guards.[2]
Matash stopped the League from taking the city, and was promoted to Provisional High Fist. In the seige that followed, the Ruling Council continued to criticise Matash's defense of the city culminating in an attempt by the Council to arrest him. Instead, Matash turned the tables and arrested Plengyllen and the entire Council.[3]
