Korel, aka Lands of Fist
The Ring Wall was a ring-shaped island between the Flow Strait and the Blight Sea. The inner lake, The Hole, was surrounded by cliffs ten fathoms high and accessible only through a narrow strait. The strait was protected against Stormriders by a deep metal mesh net which was anchored by a massive chain across the top of the cliffs. The chain's links were as a thick as a person's thigh and it was held in place by cyclopean stones.[1]
The Stormguard maintained a garrison there.[2]
In Stonewielder[]
When Ring city fell into the hands of the Jourilan Army of Reform some of the Reformists sought to cleanse the city of Loyalists. The members of the Ring Wall garrison traveled to Ring to protect the families hiding in the city's Cathedral of Our Lady.[3]
The Hole harboured one of the three pieces of the Blessed Lady, so Synod of Stygg members Sister Gosh and Brother Carfin severed the chains to allow the Stormriders access. They were nearly stopped by the Lady's servant Totsin Jurth the Third. Once the net fell, the Stormriders entered the Hole and destroyed the fragment inside.[4]
