Shrake was Sergeant of the 2nd squad in the XIVth Legion's 2nd Company.[1] She had a languid gaze and long, black, braided hair that she was in the habit of twisting.[2][3] Shrake had full lips, veiled eyes, a big-boned chest, and a pointy chin with a wide, flaring jawline.[4]
So Bleak thought her smart and sarcastic and was infatuated with her, although she rejected his advances saying she considered him plain and charmless. In reality, she thought it a bad idea to fraternise with a fellow squaddie and had a hard time keeping her hands off him.[5] Instead she slept with Clay Plate, another of her squad.[6]
Shrake so hated marching that her bad ankle always seemed to get worse whenever a march was called necessitating her need to ride.[7]
She was capable of cutting a man in half with her broadsword.[8]
