Sinter was sergeant of the 4th squad, 8th Legion, 3rd Company of the Bonehunters. She and her sister Kisswhere were from the southern jungles of Dal Hon, from the same tribe as Badan Gruk.[1] She joined the army to follow her beloved sister,[2] as she always tried to keep her sister out of trouble.

Sinter was the subject of Badan Gruk's affection, and he had followed her into the army in an attempt to be with her.[3] Corporal Pravalak Rim of the 4th squad was infatuated with her sister, but when Kisswhere laughed off his attempts to woo her, Sinter privately urged him not to give up.[4]

In Reaper's Gale[]

Adjunct Tavore Paran clashed with Empress Laseen at Malaz City and took the Bonehunters rogue, following the Tiste Edur fleet that had ravaged Sepik back to Lether.[7] Tavore invaded the Letherii Empire, burning her transport vessels on the shoreline and spreading the marines in isolated pairs of squads across thirty leagues of coast. The marines moved forward into the Letherii countryside towards Letheras, the capital, with orders to kill Edur by night and stir the occupied Letherii into rebellion. Each squad had a mage responsible for hiding their presence and confusing their enemies.[8]

Sinter's 4th squad, Badan Gruk's 5th squad, and Primly's 10th squad landed furthest south of all the marines. Remaining together, they saw little resistance moving east and soon reached a river. Rather than slog through through waist-deep swamp muck, they stole a fisher boat and sailed upriver. They made excellent time until running into a Letherii galley in the night, and Kisswhere and Sinter were lost in the water during a discharge of Kisswhere's Moranth munitions. In Sinter's absence, Pravalak Rim assumed command of the 4th squad.[9]

In Dust of Dreams[]

Sinter and Kisswhere had been captured during the invasion of Lether. They were freed by Badan Gruk after they were starved nearly to death in a Letherii prison.[10]

Sinter had a premonition of the Bonehunters 'abandonment' and sent her sister Kisswhere and the Dal Hon Masan Gilani to find the Adjunct's allies before it was too late.

She also made a rather stunted attempt at seducing Bottle.
