Toras Redone was the commander of the Hust Legion and once the southern branch of the Borderswords. She led from the field and afterwards could often be found covered in grime, drinking and carousing with her soldiers. She preferred their company over the formal expectations of the court.[1]
She was married to Calat Hustain, commander of the Wardens of the Outer Reach and eldest son of Hust Hold. This did not prevent her from taking fellow legionnaire, Galar Baras, as her lover.[2]
In Forge of Darkness[]
Toras was camped with the Legion on the southern border of Kurald Galain when Hunn Raal arrived with wine and ale for Toras and her troops. When Toras refused to be drawn into Hunn's conspiracy to bring Vatha Urusander to the throne of Kharkanas, he left the camp. Later Galar Baras arrived to call the Legion to war and found Toras and the legionnaires dead and dying from Hunn's poisoned drink.[3]
