Lady Verbis was a wealthy member of the Earbeford town council. She wore furs even when it was "hot enough outside you could melt small children" in order to make her cheeks glow becomingly.[1]
In Upon a Dark of Evil Overlords[]
When The Tearful Three threatened to destroy Earbeford with their army of ten thousand undead, Chancellor Gullyb, Lady Verbis, and the rest of the town council contracted the necromancers, Bauchelain and Korbal Broach, to defend the town and rid them of the trio's evil menace. The agreed upon price was fifty thousand jeerkhins, but Bauchelain happily doubled the price and drained the treasury as soon as the undead appeared before the town.[2]
After Bauchelain and Korbal Broach dispatched the Tearful Three, Captain Villiob devised a plan for the now masterless undead army. Since the undead did not require pay or food and would be desperate to rejoin society, the people of Earbeford could welcome them back as the town's new working class. He excitedly led the town council and other townspeople to the undead to make the proposal.[3] But the newly freed horde of undead, under their leader Ilma, reacted to the proposition by announcing they would kill and devour the townspeople.[4][5] Lady Verbis likely perished among them.
