The Karsa Orlong Trilogy is the working title for the series of Malazan books Steven Erikson plans to write after he completes the Kharkanas Trilogy. As suggested by the title, they will feature Karsa Orlong and will take place after the events of The Crippled God.
- In the Fall of 2016, Erikson predicted the first book was 2.5 to 3 years away. The interview was unclear whether this was the publishing date or the date he would start writing the new series. He has a number of publishing commitments to complete first.[1]
- The series will probably take place 10 to 12 years after The Crippled God.[2]
- Erikson has a list of "survivors" from the Malazan Book of the Fallen series that he plans to consult to decide which will take part in the new trilogy.[3]
- The book will likely be written "in a very similar style to the Malazan Book of the Fallen".[4]
